This is the most annoying part when you want to play PS4 but it does not recognize your disc. This thing set your mood off. However there are some methods you should try in order to make your disc recognizable in your PS4 so that you could play whatever you want to.
Sometimes a layer of dust in your PS4 where you put your disc could be a single reason that it prevents you from recognizing your disc. You need a clean and soft cloth and then clean it and then you may want to try whether your PS4 recognizes the discs that you’ve put in or not.
If this method does not work then you must try changing the disc and see if it works. Other discs work then you should know that it is not your PS4 fault but it is the fault of your previous disc that you were trying to open in your PS4. In this case you have to replace that faulty disc with another disc.
After trying those two methods you can try some other methods as well if those two do not work in parallel. Sometimes your PS4 denies and does not build a strong database connection that could read the disc and that causes the disc to be unrecognizable.
You can rebuild the database to fix your PS4 that does not read discs. That can be done by going into safe mode. In order to go to the safe mode, first of all you’ll have to turn off your device. To do so first of all press the power button to turn off your device and then the indicator will blink for a moment as usual just wait for it and once it stops blinking then your device has successfully turned off.
Alright secondly you have to press the power button during the device is off then you hear a beep and then after that just hold on for about seven seconds until you hear a second beep but do not release the button when you hear the beep for the first time.
Now you need to press the PS button on the controller only after you connect the DualShock4 controller with the USB. You are now in the safe mode and there you’ll see a lot of options such as restart PS4, Change Resolution, Update System Software, Restore default settings, Rebuilt database, Initialize PS4 and Reinstall system software.
Now select Rebuild Database that will create a new database for all the content and after that once you complete this all the data on your system will be re-organized. Now try to put the disc and see if this works. If this thing or this step do not work then you can reinstall system software that you put everything back to factory settings and things will be just like new PS4 and hopefully this needs to be work. If these methods do not work then you may want to take your PS4 to the professional and ask them for your help.
